Christmas was cancelled because my household got a flu bug. Yuck! We'll try again next year.

On to better news though! So, I mentioned my volunteer commitments in my previous correspondence and I've been presented with an opportunity that I'd very much like to invite you, your family and friends to join in a way that makes sense for you.

This community opportunity is quite personal to me. Maybe you've heard of it before?! Coldest Night of the Year. It's not new, but it's new-ish to me. I had heard of it before but didn't take time to learn about it until I was approached to volunteer for the event. And, WOW - it felt like stars aligning for me. I thought to myself, 'this is the PERFECT opportunity for me to give back full circle'! It is designed to bring awareness and funding benefitting the hungry, hurt and homeless in our very own backyard.

With a lot of excitement and a lil bit of fear, I took this to the brokerage, told them my story and asked 'who's with me?' and it was unanimous YES!

So, if you've done this before, never done this or only want to do this one time - I'm graciously asking for you to join me, my friends, my family and The Agency Muskoka this February 22nd, 2025 for Coldest Night of The Year (aka CNOY) in Gravenhurst. This campaign directly and positively impacts the programs and program participants at Gravenhurst Against Poverty (GAP). My personal goal is to create the biggest team to walk in Gravenhurst this year and to raise $250.

There is a 2km or 5km walk with stops along the way of local businesses offering some reprieve from the weather and something warm to sip. Gravenhurst isn't the only town participating either.
