March is off to a wonderful start, weather wise. Real estate is being affected by the US currently and probably because of all the damage the snow has caused this winter as well. Below is a link to the Canadian Real Estate Association describing current events in the market.

The Coldest Night of the Year was sooo great! I've found my tribe! Selfless-acts-of-kindness kind of people. Together we raised over $135k for Gravenhurst Against Poverty. WOW! Admittedly we didn't reach our goal of $185k BUT we had half the donors that contributed last year and that is a HUGE win.
Some of these proceeds are going to be used to create much needed and NEW cooking program to create nutritious food using items like microwaves or single burner stoves or electric skillets. Many of our program attendees live with food insecurities whether it's lack of food, transportation to get food as well as lack of kitchen appliances to create better food options. A survey conducted in January revealed that recipients crave more knowledge on how to make healthier food options with the resources they have. This program takes off in April this year!
